The character of Recep İvedik, created by Şahan Gökbakar, met with the audience for the first time in 2005 on the television show “Dikkat Şahan Çıkabilir”. Since the first movie released in 2008, Recep İvedik movies have broken Turkish Cinema rating records countless times. Recep İvedik, in his own words, is aggressive, complex; but in essence, he is a docile person like a cat. Recep İvedik is still the most watched Turkish film in abroad and achieving numerous successes outside Turkey.
